About us

Navajo County Sheriff’s Auxiliary

The Sheriff’s Auxiliary supports the mission of Sheriff Clouse and the Navajo County Sheriff’s Department and is deeply involved in the communities in which we serve. The Auxiliary was formed about 35 years ago

What We Do

We have many different functions: House Watch, patrolling neighborhoods, providing security at special events, assisting Sheriff Deputies at scenes, search and rescue, courthouse duty, traffic control, and forest road patrol, just to name a few. As a volunteer organization, we operate purely on donations. Last year the SAV’s provided over 11,000 hours of service to the community and sheriff’s department.

Join Us

We are always looking for new volunteers! Whether you’re here full time or part time we have a place for you! We will train you by having you attend one of our academies, which uses curriculum and resources provided by the Navajo County Sheriff’s Department. After that, you choose what area of the SAV’s you’d like to be involved in. Vehicles are provided by the Sheriff’s Department. You can contribute from 8 hours a month on up, depending on your schedule.
